Waiting for the men's freestyle swimming competition at the Lake Festival

The first of the Traditional Eymir Lake Festival and The Traditional Tree Planting Festival, which gained Ankara the METU Forest, were held in 1961. In every year in the spring, tree planting, volleyball matches, free fishing competitions, as well as rowing and swimming races were held in the boathouse built by the lake.
