METU Aviation Department opened for education with a ceremony

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kıcıman said the following at the ceremony: "Aeronautical engineering has left behind the years when it was a branch of engineering that was limited to aircraft construction, and has become a discipline that encompasses all of the most prominent and fastest developing disciplines of today's technology, such as aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, eroelasticity, active control systems, rocket systems, space structures and materials.
