The 1977-78 academic year at METU began with a ceremony yesterday

Middle East Technical University started the 1977-78 academic year with a ceremony held yesterday. In a message issued for the start of the new academic year at METU, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Nuri Saryal stated that approximately 1400 young people who graduated last year were put into the service of our country, and said, "With the 2500 new students who registered this year and those who benefited from the amnesty, the number of students registered at METU exceeded 12 thousand."
