Nikolai Dzoukaev, Bust of John Dalton

The bust of John Dalton was created by the sculptor Nikolai Dzoukaev. John Dalton (1766-1844), whose interest in meteorology led him to study gases, proposed an atomic theory stating that compounds form through the combination of atoms in whole numbers.
