METU Theater Festival is held traditionally by METU Actors and participating communities every year. The festival, the first of which was organized in 1960, was called "Amateur Theaters Festival" until 1989. The play ‘İdam Mahkumu’ (Hollwarthy Hall, Robert Middlemass) was staged in the first year.
